Even though Madonna is over 60, we weren't expecting the same energy as her old shows. However, this performance was disappointingly slow, despite her new music being enjoyable. It lacked the upbeat tempo her fans adore, and could have benefited from including a couple more classic songs. On top of that, some of the new songs were frankly dull and could have been left out. The "small venue" setting was intended to create an intimate atmosphere, but Madonna seemed completely disconnected from the audience. Even though we were seated in row 3, it felt like there was an invisible barrier between us and her. Her interactions with fans fell flat, and her attempts at small talk seemed forced and uninspired. Madonna's strength lies in her music, not in her speaking or comedic skills. While there were moments of artistic flair, the overall experience was tedious. I was relieved when the show finally ended and we could leave.
